Cookies in a Jar Mix

Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookie mix in a Jar

3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 cup chocolate covered raisins
1/2 cup milk chocolate chip morsels
1 3/4 cups flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Layer ingredients in order given in a quart size '' wide mouth '' canning jar.  Press each layer firmly in place making sure you really pack it down before you add the flour mixture, it will be a tight fit but it will work.

Attach these instructions to the jar:
Chocolate covered Raisin Cookies

1.} Empty cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2.} Add: 1 stick butter or margarine, softened at room temp.

DO NOT USE DIET MARGARINE
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla

3.} Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands.
4.} Shape into walnut sized balls. Place 2'' apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet. 
        DO NOT USE WAXED PAPER
5.} Bake at 375% 13 to 15 minutes until tops are very lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen cookies.


Tea Mix

Forget Me Not Tea

1 jar (15 ounces) instant orange breakfast drink mix
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup unsweetened instant tea mix
1/2 cup presweetened lemonade mix
1 package unsweetened cherry flavored soft drink mix
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
wide mouth jar or jar with lid

Combine all ingredients in large bowl.  Mix well.  Spoon into container.

Attach to jar
Forget Me Not Tea
4 cups tea mix
To serve:  Stir 2 heaping teaspoonfuls into 8 ounces of hot or cold water.
